We provide free opportunities for students and employees to gain knowledge beyond the classroom through active engagement with the world around us to learn to lead, advance academically, and embark on personal development through meaningful day and semester-long service programs for the environment and the community.
Be able to connect and apply classroom studies to the real world, grow your network, and gain relevant experiences to clarify your values and strengthen your resume.
Students engaged in at least 50 verifiable hours of Service Learning are eligible to receive the Chancellor’s Civic Leadership Medallion. SCC Honors students will also receive scholarships for participating in Service Learning events.
Being involved with Service Learning lets you explore different fields and recognize the issues and needs of the community that you can address one step at a time.
